I love meeting people who are out to shake things up. Jacob Choi is one of those people. We first met during a Busan Party Planners event, who are regular clients of mine. I eventually found out that Jacob and his company Geoje the Coupon is out to represent and elevate his hometown of Geoje. This industrial island isn’t typically known as a particularly hip destination, but Jacob is out to change that. He’s bringing new, young, and innovative businesses in Geoje to the public eye through discounts and promotions. Jacob is also out to change the island’s party scene.
Geoje the Party Begins was the first of Jacob’s events in 2018. He brought myself and awesome travel photographer/videographer SJ Park to cover the event through photo and video. The turnout was great and my eyes were opened to the party potential in Geoje. Check out some highlights from the party, which was held at G Most Gastro Pub in Gohyeon.
