February 2020 was an interesting time for South Korea. The Covid-19 virus was spreading rapidly and the whole country had to slow down to contain it. Events were cancelled left and right to avoid large gatherings and people were advised to refrain from going outside unless absolutely necessary. Korea University’s 113th graduation ceremony was not spared from the event cancellations. However, the university recognized the importance of remembering this special occasion through photos, so they opened up the campus for students to take photos individually. Jasmine brought me on to take her graduation portraits at KU’s Seoul Campus. We explored several areas of the university that were significant and memorable to her over the past few years that she had studied there, making sure to capture not only the location but also Jasmine’s unique personality. It was a great afternoon out and we came away with some great images to commemorate this chapter of Jasmine’s life. Check out some of my personal favorite images from this session below.
