“Ausbildung” is a German word meaning training or education. Germany is known for their dual education system, which combines vocational schooling and company apprenticeship in one course. This has contributed to Germany having one of the lowest youth unemployment rates in the world. The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) has brought this successful model to Korea. The cooperation began with BMW and Mercedes Benz, but the list of participating companies continues to grow.
The 2022 Ausbildung graduation ceremony was recently held at the Millennium Seoul Hilton. Graduation rites were followed up by a celebratory dinner and recreational portion on the hotel’s picturesque rooftop.
