Environmental Portraits for Volvo Group Magazine – Korea Editorial Photographer

I was contacted by the Swedish content agency Spoon to do some environmental portraits for an upcoming issue of Volvo Group Magazine.  So I headed out to the Volvo plant in Changwon to meet and photograph Mr. HJ Kang, head of Construction Equipment technology.  He was a natural in front of the camera and it was quite interesting to shoot in front of the huge machines.

Photographer’s corner:

I used a 5D Mark II, 24-70, and 70-200 for all of these photos.  For lighting, I used a 28-inch softbox with a portable speedlight.  The overcast conditions allowed for the use of only one speedlight.  Had the conditions been brighter, I would have had to double the lights to overcome the sunlight.
