It’s always great to work with the various expat associations in Korea. Each group has their own unique personalities, food, and events. I recently got to cover an event for the Australia New Zealand Association (ANZA) in Seoul. It was for the annual Melbourne cup, Australia’s most prestigious thoroughbred horse race. Everyone gathered at the JW Marriot Dongdaemun Square for an afternoon of great food, wine, and of course, the most exciting horse race of the year. My friend and partner in crime Dylan Goldby brought me on for this event. He was mostly in charge of taking fantastic portraits of people at the photo booth, while I would be focused on the day’s events.
Everyone looked stunning, especially the ladies in their fabulous hats and fascinators. It wasn’t hard to get great shots because everyone looked so good. All in all, it was quite a fun event and I really enjoyed being a part of it. Please enjoy some some highlights of the Melbourne Cup Lunch.
