Recently, my buddy Dylan Goldby and I braved high levels of fine dust pollution in Seoul, South Korea to make a couple of videos about wide-angle lenses for the Fujifilm X system. Unfortunately, we were not able to get our hands on absolutely all of the wide-angle lenses, but between the both of us, we do own a lot of the ones out there. If given the chance, we would definitely love to make videos about the Fujinon XF 14mm (Fuji offices were closed for renovations so we couldn’t borrow it), the Zeiss 12mm (Dylan already sold his), and the 7 Artisans 12mm, and any others.
One video is a lens shootout, which tackles things like sharpness, vignetting, build quality, and versatility. This dives into more technical aspects about each lens:
The partner video takes a less technical and more practical, aesthetic approach and focuses more on thought process and how we used the lenses to make some of our favorite photos:
Check out both videos, like, subscribe, and all that wonderful stuff!
Here are the lenses we talked about in these videos:
Venus Optics Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero D
We filmed these videos on the excellent Fujifilm X-H1.
