COMIX X MOVIE exhibition in Seoul – South Korea Event Photographer

In November of 2021, the Hong Kong Arts Centre organized an exhibition at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). 만화 X 영화 – 홍콩만화애니메이션전 COMICS X MOVIE – HONG KONG COMIX EXHIBITION was held at the iconic plaza’s Design Pathway. It’s goal was to showcase and promote Hong Kong’s comics and animation scene from the 1960’s to the present. Ten artists participated in the exhibition, each with their own illustrative renditions of various movies, Korean and otherwise.

I was tasked to photograph the exhibition with focus on the exhibition space, individual pieces, as well as crowd interaction and advertising around the plaza. It was an enjoyable event to photograph and very cool to see the work coming out of Hong Kong.
