BCCK Queen’s Birthday Dinner 2022 at Conrad Seoul – Event Photographer in South Korea

In many ways, 2022 has truly felt like a year for saying “we’re back!”. It has certainly felt that way when it comes to event photography, which was one of the genres affected quite badly by the pandemic.

The improvement in the overall global situation has allowed full-scale flagship events to take place once again in Seoul. One of the premier events, of course, is the Queen’s Birthday Dinner, which is organized by the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea. 2022 is Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, which is definitely cause for celebration. Roy Cruz Photo was once again brought on to photograph the event.

I’ll admit, it was a bit surreal at first being able to photograph a full-on chamber event once again. But it definitely felt good. There was a lot of “good to see you again”, and “it’s been so long” going around. Not only was it a pleasure to work with my friends at the BCCK again, but also nice to see lots of familiar faces from the Seoul expat community.
